Darien Homes 

Darien Homes, Inc. is a residential home builder located in Fairfield, Ohio.  Each custom home is built with class and distinction.  Darien Homes encourages consultation with the homeowner at each phase to ensure complete customer satisfaction.  The owners, Dean and Jill Yates, have over 47 years of experience in residential home building.  

Dean comes from a long life of construction, demolition, and excavation workers.  He started as a young boy helping his father with various building projects and worked for his uncle’s demolition business at age 12.  Dean entered the home building industry at age 17 as a laborer at a Cincinnati based homebuilder.  After high school he started his career as a rough framing carpenter in the Dayton area.

Jill spent many hours of her childhood on the job with her father, Jim Hassman of Hassman Construction,  learning how to transform a piece of land into a home.  Hands on experience and an eye for detail kept Jill engaged in the building industry.  Following college she went to work for her mother’s property management company and learned how quality construction made her job easier and kept the homeowners happy.

Dean and Jill married in 1988 and together in 1989 opened their own framing company, Yates Construction. After establishing an excellent reputation as framing contractor, Dean and Jill entered into the home building business.   When Jim Hassman decided to retire, Darien Homes was formed by merging Hassman Construction and Yates Construction.  This allowed Dean and Jill to expand the foundation of their business and continue to provide top quality homes and hands on service from start to finish.

Darien Homes operates with Jill providing quality control and design input.  She also coordinates both the office and sales team allowing Dean to spend his time in the field supervising the construction of each and every home built.  All homes are accessible to the homeowner during the construction process because it is important that the homeowner’s personal touch is incorporated into the character of the home.  The commitment to customer service does not stop at closing.  Darien Homes provides follow up service and support with quarterly walkthroughs during the one year warranty along with follow up support long after the one year warranty ends.
